Thomas Decker

BIO:Born 1953 Portsmouth ,VA
Studied art at Old Dominion Univ. and Norfolk State Univ. Norfolk, VA from 1971 thru 1974. Moved to North Carolina in 1975 and began working in the commercial fishing industry. Earned captains license in 1979 and captained offshore fishing vessels on the Grand Banks, Georges Banks, the Gulf of Maine, the northwest Central Atlantic, down the Eastern Seabord and into the Gulf of Mexico and the Carribean. Left the fishing industry in 1993, moved to the Catskill Mountain area of New York State, and resumed painting. Established a studio in New York City in 1997. Continue to live and work in New York City.
